Diagnosis at Maayan Cosmetics is done at the clinic using the MEICET PRO-A system, lasts up to 30 minutes, and at the end you receive a digital report with images and scores. The treatment plan is built from it.
The diagnosis costs 150 ₪ — and is fully credited if you choose to proceed to a treatment plan.
Why we start with diagnosis, not treatment
Because there is no one treatment that suits everyone. Pigmentation is not one problem — it is several different conditions that look similar, and each responds differently. The same is true of acne.
This is not only our position. The chair of the Israeli Association of Cosmeticians put it in a Yisrael Hayom article: a professional cosmetician performs an in-depth skin diagnosis, explains the process required, and builds a realistic treatment plan that also includes a home skincare routine — and if you are offered one treatment without matching it to your needs, that is a warning sign.
The protocols according to which the plan is built were developed by Maayan Meir, and diagnosis is performed by Maayan or by Elinor Meir.
What happens at diagnosis
- A conversation. What bothers you, what you have tried, what has changed recently.
- Imaging with the MEICET PRO-A system. The system photographs the skin under several types of lighting — RGB light, cross-polarized light, parallel-polarized light, and UV light. Each lighting reveals different things, so you also see what is not obvious to the eye in the mirror.
- Reading the findings together. We do not hand you a document and finish — we go through it with you.
- Building the plan according to what was found, including the home skincare routine.
According to the manufacturer, the system focuses on five areas: aging, sensitivity, pigmentation, skin texture, and skin tone.
What you receive
A digital report that includes images of your skin and scores by analysis area. It can be sent by email.
This sounds technical, but the meaning is simple: there is a documented starting point. Not "the skin looks not great" — but an image and a number.
The repeat scan — how you know it is actually working
This is the part that matters most to us, and it is also the rarest.
If you purchased a series of treatments, we scan again every time you come for a treatment.
Not once at the start and once at the end. At every session.
Why this matters:
- You see a change, you do not hear about it. Progress in the skin is gradual, and that is exactly why it is hard to notice in the mirror at home — you see your face every day.
- We can adjust along the way. If a particular area is not moving as expected, that is discovered during the plan, not at the end.
- You are not dependent on our impression. There is a data point.
In which treatments diagnosis is used
In almost every consultation at the clinic — pigmentation, acne, post-acne, skin treatments, anti-aging, and lesion removal.
Laser hair removal on the body is the exception — there diagnosis is not needed.
For facial hair removal the system is used, to photograph facial hair and track the change over the process.
What this diagnosis is not
It is important to us that this is clear:
MEICET is a cosmetic imaging and analysis system. It is not a medical diagnostic device.
- It does not diagnose skin diseases and is not intended to identify malignancy.
- It does not replace a dermatologist. If a finding comes up that requires medical assessment — we refer to a physician, and we do not guess.
- We do not make a medical diagnosis, not from the system and not by eye.
This boundary is not a legal disclaimer. It is part of the method: skin tag removal with us is performed only after dermatologist approval, and from exactly the same logic.
The home skincare routine
The report also includes matching a home skincare routine from Miloré products — the clinic's cosmetics brand.
We will say this openly: yes, these are our products. And two things follow from that —
- You can come for diagnosis without buying anything. The diagnosis stands on its own, and you do not have to take a treatment plan or products to go through it.
- The match is derived from the findings, not from inventory. What is not relevant to your skin will not enter your routine.

The diagnosis costs 150 ₪.
- You chose to proceed to a treatment plan? The amount is fully credited toward the plan. That is — for anyone who continues, the diagnosis costs nothing.
- You came for diagnosis and chose not to continue? The 150 ₪ is payment for the diagnosis, and you leave with your report.
- Cancellation up to 24 hours before the appointment — a full refund.
We do not have a fixed price list for the treatment plans themselves. The price is set after diagnosis, according to the condition of the skin, the type of plan, and the scope of the program.
